Christian Music Traditional and Contemporary “Shepherd’s Voice” is a singing group comprised of four women who specialize in Christian music, both contemporary and traditional. Members are Debbie Harn, Debby Petrosky, Connie Watkins, and Linda Yohe. Having come out of the rank of the Riverview Baptist Church choir in New Eagle, PA, these ladies have been singing together in the choir for many years. The inspiration to attempt to fashion a “group” came at an unexpected and unplanned moment. In January 2005 as the ladies were helping to take down the Christmas decorations at the church, they were listening to a tape of some contemporary Christian music and began to sing various vocal parts. They harmonized beautifully together, complimenting one another’s talents and vocal ranges. Realizing their God-given musical gifts, they decided to pursue this combined interest and see where the Lord would lead them if they allowed praising Him to be their focal point. Practices followed. The members felt their calling was to spread the gospel through music and to be the voice of our Lord, the Good Shepherd. They officially took on the name of “Shepherd’s Voice” in 2005 when they were asked to sing at a praise event held in Monongahela, PA. Abundant blessings and love continue to shower this group as they advance their music ministry for their Savior and Shepherd, Jesus Christ.
